Yeah, Doyle is wordy. But quite good!

I'm reading nothing at the moment. Been really busy and my usual reading time keeps getting filled (Hehehe... Been working on this year's Read-a-Thon). But when I finally find the time, I'll be reading Swallows and Amazons #5: Coot Club.

I love Doyle. Sherlock Holmes is cool, even if his line of reasoning is sometimes confusing.

I reread Ella Enchanted and am currently working on rereading the Kingdom series by Chuck Black. I'm on book three... we'll see how far I get.

I appreicated the wit and humor of Mad Dogs and an Englishwoman by Polly Evans.  A middle-aged British woman spends time in Canada's Yukon Territory to learn all about sled dogs and sledding.  My brother-in-law raises sled dogs and it was amazing how accurate a picture she portrays through her writings.  I'd say a book for 13 yrs old and up.

I finally finished Strange and Norrell.  I think I'm going to start the next Hornblower book today.

Ooh,  Five Weeks in a Balloon! I haven't read that in along time.

My reading time is sorely lacking, although I just finished re-reading some of the Million Dollar Mysteries. Now I'm on the scout for something new to read. . . preferably Fantasy, not too dark. Hmm. Although I could a sci/fi, if it's a good one. I haven't had much success with sci/fi.

I just finished a really awesome book that I'd like to recommend.  Nick of Time is a thrilling adventure
story with pirates, Nazi submarines, Napoleonic naval warfare, castles,
top secret military security, sailing, and time travel. The characters
were likable and interesting, the action riveting, and the writing
style engaging.  I couldn't put it down.

Haha, the Phantom Tollbooth is fun. "Seventeen!" cried the Humbug, scribbling furiously on a piece of paper.

The new Redwall book (The Sable Quean) came in from the library, so I've been reading that.
