I forgot to say that it's freezing cold here! Just got back from my lovely vacation in the warm South, and now here I am with current temps hitting 2 degrees Fahrenheit and snow all over the place. Bleah.

Same here, just it gets to about -11F. But that's just another excuse to read!

Oh yeah, I actually have a friend who inhabits a alternate existence called Virtual Reality with me, it's quite convenient. Watch: *slaps herself* See? Didn't feel a thing. Easy's pie.
*enjoys Aly's post very much* And yes, though it is sad, I started looking TOO much like Poe and got complaints. Not to mention that picture where really did look like a villain in a drama...neverMIND!
Anyone seen "Miss Potter"? The Girls and I watched it this afternoon and I really enjoyed it, even though is was bittersweet.
I finally plucked up my courage to fiddle around with my MP3...lemme tell y'all, it rockeths. Day Two and I have over 100 songs on there. And that's just copied and loaded from CDs, I've no idea what else one can do with these...

I saw Miss Potter once or twice... in 2007, I think. It was okay. I didn't particularly care for it.

I saw it. It was pretty good, nothing I'm obsessed with, but good. Speaking of which, I should see that again.

Something nice and off-topic: There are ants invading our kitchen again.

Of course, if it's cold, where else would they want to be?

Yep. They seem to invade about once or twice a year... But Pest Control stopped by the other day and I think they're gone now.

Monster cookies: make regular chocolate cookies, but scoop 'em big and take them right out of the oven when the recipe says to, don't leave 'em in if they look underdone or something.

Randomness is fine! This is the off-topic thread!

I always make my cookies bigger than the recipe says to.

I used to, but then I discovered the recipe made less cookies that way, and since I like to eat many cookies, I prefer to make them small so I can eat more without feeling so guilty.

Oh, see, my philosophy is to make MORE big cookies! And then tell myself that one huge cookie is about two or three little ones.

I have kind of a standard cookie size that I use for all of 'em. I know, boring, but it works for me.
