A late welcome to you, Wyatt.
Anyone seen The Great Escape? We started watching that tonight. Along with watching the end of Fiddler on the Roof (or wait..that was yesterday), before the beginning, but no matter. I loveth that end.
CCM? I am undecided. I don't like a lot of it because it all sounds the same, the lyrics are shallow, the voices are whiny and nasal. Also a lot (not all) seems to centre around glorifying the performer instead of glorifying God. There's certainly some good stuff but you have to sort through the junk to get to it. I don't listen to any at all though; long story.
If CCM isn't so popular anymore (*blinks* I hadn't noticed) then what is CCM? Does any Christian music that sounds vaguely pop/rock-ish qualify?
*agrees with Owan about online chatting, especially IM* Which is why I usually forget to sign into YIM and MSN.
I like internet communication and real life communication (though the former energises me and the latter de-energises me), both more than phones. I think it has something to do with not being able to see the other person and pick up on their expressions and body language and signals during phone calls; for some reason that really disturbs me (er, not disturbs, that's too strong...). With writing you know the person can ignore it or skip over parts if they find it boring, so I don't mind waxing verbose on the internet or with a pen.
*AHEM* The last statement was superfluous. Rather.
Long catch-up post, you have been warned!
My personal self wrote: Yesterday I looked out my brother's window and saw white stuff flying through the air and shrieked "SNOW!" ...but it turned out to be my mum shaking a rug on the porch. How tragic.
If anyone was wondering, which they aren't, since that anecdote we got enough snow here to last us for several years. About a foot and a half, which is rare for here (yes, yes, Midwesterners and proper Canadians, laugh). Everyone shrieked and exclaimed over it, until it all melted a few weeks later at the same time as it rained for four days, which flooded several cities and thus everything was and is back to normal.
Now we have fog. Perpetual fog. It makes running to the mailbox and going shopping very mysterious.
*wonders why she's giving a weather update*
I know why! Because it's almost eleven and I still have a million things that I should do but am doing by best to avoid.
The ever joyous and sanguine Pip wrote: The weather here has been windy and dark. Creepy. Bright stars.
*approves of this*
*or maybe more of the description and the mental image it brings*
The above also wrote: I think forced writing does indeed turn people's heads somewhat.
This is a scientifically proven fact.
...well, the numbers of crazy NaNo people are close enough.

I believe I've considered myself too old since I was... *counts* Two? (I did, however, carry a doll around for at least two years after that. So yes, Alyosha did act like a normal child once. Even if said doll did bear a frightening resemblance to Moe of Three Stooges fame.)
My bed is too small, anyhow. It's made for someone shorter than me, with thinner blankets. (The basement is COLD.) So no room for taxidermied mammals.

I quite like the eighth name. I will someday name a cat after your hippopotamus. If I ever have a cat. Hilton after the hotel? Harry after Potter? Violet after Baudelaire? Jill after Pole? Carol after A Christmas Carol? Calvin after the unforgettable Calvin and Hobbes? You obviously have a very literate animal collection.
Jordan, aka Fearless Leader (sorry, too much Rocky and Bullwinkle), wrote: CCM-wise, I listen to older stuff more than newer. And a lot that wouldn't be defined as CCM but is still Christian. And some that is not.
Same here. Except about the older stuff--what sort of older stuff?

Erm, Windows XP and whatever brand I have which I forget the name of, and it's a good thing I like (or tolerate, or enjoy throwing things at--depends on the day) them because I've no chance of obtaining a new computer for several years.

So you did find a lift after all? Coolness. Who's going to be there? Performers I mean.
Pip, the quotable, wrote, Waaahooo, Sarah, coolness! (That is one of my new favorite words, thanks, Alyosha!)
*bows* ...Actually, thank lysander of Narniaweb.
Pip, again, wrote: planning to stay up til an unholy hour because IT'S FRIDAAAAAY!
You mean that you've actually started limiting your mega-late nights to Fridays?! I...I...I'm sorry. This is all just too much for me to take in. *faints dramatically*
