Anyone read these? I loved them! The names of the three books are, in order: The Door Within, The Rise of the Wyrm Lord, and The Final Storm. They're fantasy, but they're still Christian. And they're filled with action, suspense, and a whole lot of of funny parts! (like the infamous lantern spider incident). You should definitely read these!

Just to let everyone know, you need to write reviews of Mr. Batson's books to earn points for the Isle of Fire Treasure Hunt, so that is why there have been several people on here doing just that. Here is my Final Storm review. I was going to post it as a comment on the Incredibooks review, but then I discovered there wasn't one! So here it is:

The Final Storm is a spectacular finish to a great trilogy. The evil Paragor has more power than ever, and things look bleak for Alleble and the followers of King Eliam. It is up to Aidan, Antoinette, and Robby, three teens from our world, to stand up for the truth, whatever it might cost them. This story is fraught with adventure, humor, danger, fear, sadness, and joy. Usually in any book, there is something I dislike. However, here I can find nothing to criticize. A must read for fantasy lovers, and even those who don’t usually like fantasy may enjoy this well-crafted story with a powerful message.

Imo, the lantern spider incident was the worst chapter and the worst part in the whole trilogy! Sorry to be evil (< , but it just wasn't called for!

I think the lantern spider incident was hilarious! Authors without a sense of humor are rather boring, if I might so boldly say.

Personally, I love The Door Within trilogy and I hope they make it into a movie.

I'm with Pip about the lantern spider affair--authors with a sense of humour are all very well, but that particular incident doesn't happen to be compatible with my sense of humour. haha.

I sort of doubt it will be made into a movie...well, maybe a movie like Left Behind or something. It would be nice though.

I think they would be great kid movies, but that is up to the producer. You know, someone is looking at them now; and all of us who check Sir Batson's blog regularly are awaiting information concerning it.

Yeah I heard about that--exciting I enjoy his blog more than his books actually, not sure why. Though that might change when I read Isle of Swords.

You know how moviemakers are always adding more character to the characters? What do you think they'd do with TDW?

They'd better not make Aidan fat...if so, I'll stamp outta the theater!
I hope someone'll make it and make it like Narnia.
This is dreadfully off-topic, but some little independant family business is making a good-looking movie called Pendragon.

That's funny, Alyosha, so do I! I didn't get into the books that much, but I love his blog.

Yeah, that's about what I say following that remark to me.
    Did anyone actually like Paragor?

    Yes.

*waits for "You are weird" comments*

Sort of. In a twisted "I don't like Aiden or Antoinette so I think I had better like their enemy" sort of way.

LOL! I actually find that hilarious! Why didn't you like Antoinette or Aidan? Did you not like Robby either?

Aidan was too imperfect and Antoinette was too perfect, haha. (Yeah...there is no method to my madness.)

I liked Robby better--he had more of a character journey, he changed more, and was therefore more interesting. Sort of like Edmund. Who was his Glimpse, again? (Robby's, not Edmund's. :P)
