Wow, I just started this last night I am only seven chapters in. It is so sad I cried so hard. Has anyone else read this yet.

No; who's the author? Why did you cry so much?

The author is L.B Graham. In those first chapters three main characters died and one of them I liked and another one I sorta liked. This is the last book in the series so we already knew these characters.

What's the first book in the series? Does the series have a name?

The following link should give you the information you want:

Oh, okay! Yeah, I've heard of him before. I have a friend who tried reading Beyond the Summerland and hated it. What's your take on it? Should I risk it? ;(

Oh wow, you know someone who didn't like it? Yay! I'm not alone in the world anymore!
^^Yeah I wasn't that fond of that book, but my cousin loved it, and multitudes of people here and elsewhere do too, so you might like it too; one never knows.

Here's the big hill to get over, Pip. Beyond the Summerland is the hardest one to finish, and then once you finish it, it gets more difficult to start the second one. But then you get hooked.

And look at it this way: it might be one of your favorite series, just waiting to be discovered. True, it has some flaws, but could you stand knowing that you passed up an amazing book because you didn't want to risk trying it? It can't hurt to attempt it. Jordan is right, Beyond the Summerland is the worst of the series, but if you read that one, the rest are great.

Man, if anyone ever writes a series, make sure to get the reader hooked on the first book, fer Pete's sake!
I'll see if my library has the book.Posted 3 years ago # -
Oh, man! Beyond the Summerland was by far the best in The Binding of the Blade Series. The second one was terrible! Just goes to show ya how different peoples tastes are in books.
Oh, and I just wanted to say Pip...
YOU READ TO MUCH!
lol

Thanks! Uh...what exactly does that MEAN!!!

Ain't that always the way?

I actually liked Beyond the Summerland quite a lot while I was reading it--enough to read the second book, anyway--though afterwards I was not quite so fond of it. I persevered with the series until halfway through book 3, when I realised that I really didn't care what happened to any of the characters, and also I kept getting everyone's names confused.
Which is my own fault I suppose. Is All My Holy Mountain the last book, or are there going to be more? My library doesn't have them, otherwise I might take another stab at it...
