There are also tons of other games which I have played but there are to many to post it on here and also I can't remember some of the games. There are also a lot of games which I have heard of but never played. My sister once played Taboo and she said that it was very fun so I want to play it.

I forgot to include chess. I don't really know how to play because I have really only played it once and I lost but that's because one of my sisters friends taught me how to play but since I was younger I didn't really know how to play.

I like playing games and the computer but I also like games like skirmish, checkers, monopalay and blockus and rushour and sorry and apples to apples and seqwence stuff like that. But I actually only played skirmish last week because I found it in my brothers room it was in my brothers room because in my brothers room he has this pole where he hangs his clothes up and then above that there's a shelf so we keep some of the games there because we don't usually play bourd games because nobody ever wants to play with me because I'm the youngest. My father sometimes will play with me checkers or backgammon I could play against my sister but she always loses because I'm am a very good checkers player. My father taught me how to play and he is very good at it but sometimes I still win.

It's been a long time since I played it, but I believe it goes something like this...

You have a chair for each person, and each chair is numbered. (1, 2, 3 etc.) One person is the "caller" and stands to the side. The caller starts the game by saying something like, "The Prince of Paris has lost his hat. Number 4 took it! Number 4 to the foot!" The person sitting in the #4 chair has to interupt before they finish and say, "No, sir, not I, sir!" If he doesn't interupt in time, he has to go to the end of the row of chairs. But if he interupts in time, the caller asks: "Who so then, sir?" And then the person in #4 says the number of a different person, say #2. So then the caller says, "Number 2 took it! Number 2 to the foot." And so on and so on. I can't remember exactly how it works, but eventually everyone starts moving up the row of chairs, so their number changes. The object is to stay at the head of the row without sliding back down to the foot.

Spoons are fun. I really like that game, actually. (Have I said that already?)

The Mongolian Clapping Game. Well, players sit in a circle and start a beat (clap hands, slap thighs, clap hands, slap thighs) and everyone has a Sign (snake, mummy, hitchhiker, zombie, boxer, fish, cyber tooth tiger--Mongolians tend to just use animal signs but we've made up a few of our own <img src="http://incredibooks.com/ibdiscuss/my-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_razz.gif" title=":P" class="bb_smilies" /> ).
Loser starts (the only people with titles are the King and Loser--the King sits at the "head" of the circle and the Loser is on his left), let's say the loser's Sign is fish. He starts the beat and then it goes something like this.
Everyone hits their thighs, then well the rest clap Loser (fish) does his Sign, everyone hits their thighs, everyone claps well Loser does the Sign of another player (hitchhiker), everyone hits their thighs, Hitchhiker does his Sign well everyone else claps, everyone hits their thighs, Hitchhiker does the sign of another player...
It goes like that getting faster and faster until someone messes up and that person has to go take the Loser's spot and is now the Loser. If the King messes up than he becomes the Loser and the person on the King's right takes the King Sign and the King takes the person that was on his right's Sign.

Did that make any sense? There isn't really a goal or point to it, it's just fun. <img src="http://incredibooks.com/ibdiscuss/my-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_biggrin.gif" title=":D" class="bb_smilies" />

If I tried playing Spoons with a bunch of people I actually KNEW instead of random strangers, they'd all have their heads knocked off. *is funny that way*
Clapping games are always fun, but I have never learned any. *is hacked off*

What is this Mongolian Clapping Game you speak of? (and have spoken of, and will speak of)

Apples to Apples is fun when everyone is trying to be sarcastic instead of sensible. The people we play with, who own the game, always try for the latter. Then when I attempt snarkiness I always lose. Actually I always lose anyhow. Hmm.

Spoons is good. Nasty is good. <img src="http://incredibooks.com/ibdiscuss/my-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_wink.gif" title=";)" class="bb_smilies" />

[edited to avoid repeating myself; you know you've been absent too long when you don't even remember what threads you've posted in]

A groundbreaking event occurred last week: I played Settlers of Catan (no, actually Canaan, but they're almost the same). At my dad and two brothers' insistence. They recruited my sister for it too, but she started listening to Elsie Dinsmore after the first turn. There aren't many things more dull than Elsie, but this... *shakes head*
