I finished this book I REALLY liked it. It's a very good fantasy book. One thing I noticed about the writing in this book is that she always writes about the main charecters and that she doesn't have more than one plot. I still loved it and would give it five out of five stars.

No, I think it stands on its own alright. Her writing can be a bit confusing sometimes, but once you get in a little ways and get used to it, it should become clear.

Nice find, Alassiel! Now, if only that release date is true, I have something else to put in the countdown on the main site once Starlighter comes out.

I just found a description up on Amazon! 'Tis as follows:

Donita K. Paul’s 250,000-plus-selling DragonKeeper Chronicles series has attracted a wide spectrum of dedicated fans–and they’re sure to fall in love with the new characters and adventures in her latest superbly crafted fiction novel for all ages. It’s a mind-boggling fantasy that inhabits the same world as the DragonKeeper Chronicles, but in a different country and an earlier time, where the people know little of Wulder and nothing of Paladin.

In The Vanishing Sculptor, readers will meet Tipper, a young emerlindian who’s responsible for the upkeep of her family’s estate during her sculptor father’s absence. Tipper soon discovers that her actions have unbalanced the whole foundation of her world, and she must act quickly to undo the calamitous threat. But how can she save her father and her world on her own? The task is too huge for one person, so she gathers the help of some unlikely companions—including the nearly five-foot tall parrot Beccaroon—and eventually witnesses the loving care and miraculous resources of Wulder. Through Tipper’s breathtaking story, readers will discover the beauty of knowing and serving God.

I'll only read it if our (slow) library eventually gits it. I haven't even *hides* read the whole Dragon series!

A cover--how exciting! <img src="http://incredibooks.com/ibdiscuss/my-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_biggrin.gif" title=":D" class="bb_smilies" />

You can get a little bit of info about The Vanishing Sculpter in a corner of Mrs. Paul's website: Right here But there's not a whole lot out there yet.

Had no idea it was coming out...or that there was even a new book...don't really keep up with Paul's stuff.

I'm not really interested in it. I'm not a Paul person...but if the library gets it I'll read it.

I thought this was the thread?

There was a DragonLight thread started because it was a brand new book, and some people didn't want to be discussing the rest of the series and try to edit out spoilers at the same time. http://incredibooks.com/ibdiscuss/topic/dragonlight
